Philips' new "ErgoSensor Monitor" is a 24-inch, 1920 x 1080 LCD with a 1000:1 contrast ratio and stereo speakers. It's most important feature, however, is the ErgoSense system itself, which can detect if the person in front of the monitor is slouching.

It can do all this through a sensor which is located where a webcam would normally be found on any other computer monitor. The sensor can detect how close to the screen the person is and will warn you if you are too close or too far away. It will also flash you a warning if your posture is not good and if you've sat at the computer for too long.

When you step away from the monitor, the sensor will detect that you have left and will power down - saving you energy.
