It goes on sale next week (March 12th) and could be yours for £7000. With it's 55" (or 47" depending on which one you pick) display and 4K resolution, it seems perfect for gadget geeks (like us, here at Liquicirkit ;) ).

It uses face-tracking technology to "see" where you are and adjusts so that the 3D effect looks good from all angles and doesn't give you a headache. The TV itself is also able to upscale and transform 2D images into 3D.

The most exciting part (for us) is the resolution - 4K! That's 4000x3000 pixels. To compare, HD is 1080x1920 pixels - that is nearly 4 times smaller!

The bit that concerns us the most is the fact that there is currently nothing available to watch which has that resolution. Films are normally shot in 1080p, and the first film which is to be shot at a resolution of 4K is Peter Jackson's "The Hobbit"... and that being released in December (for cinema only), so it will be a while before it's available on DVD or digital download.

Side note, if you've ever watched a standard definition video on YouTube and tried to stretch it to full screen on a 1080p display, you'd have noticed the image was much blurrier... well, that's what may happen on this TV - hopefully not - but it is a possibility that it may happen on certain channels when you try to "upscale" the image.
