Sony's latest Vaio range have motion sensors which allow you to control your laptop with the swipe of your hand. The new feature is called "Gesture Control" and it works by detecting motion through the built-in webcam.

Just hold your hand up in front of the webcam and...
  • swipe left or right to flick through photos or web pages
  • pull your hand down to pause music or slideshows
  • "rotate" your hand to adjust the sound volume
These Gesture Control movements are currently only supported by Windows® Media Player, Internet Explorer® 9, PowerPoint® and PowerDVD.

As well as these new features, Sony also promise that the E Series laptops come with HD webcams for clearer and crisper video quality - pictures will appear sharper and more detailed and the colours will remain rich and vibrant even in poor light.
