This new iPod Touch 16GB is exactly the same as it's 5th Generation predecessor except it's missing a rear-facing camera and there is also no lanyard hook. The new iPod also only comes in the colours black and silver.

For us, this seems like somewhat of a downgrade and the price difference between this iPod and a 32GB 5th Generation version is £50. Would you buy this iPod? Let us know in the comments below.

Here's something that could cure your boredom: go into Google Images and type in "Atari Breakout".

(I think this is what has been keeping our editors occupied lately, and I shall blame it for the lack of posts...)

To celebrate their 1st birthday, Raspberry Pi enjoyed this edible version of the Model B!

The ZTE Blade 3 is the perfect option for those wanting an affordable smartphone. It's available off-contract on Virgin UK for £79.99 (as well as being available on a 24-month contract for £18 a month for new customers and £13 for existing customers).

So what's so good about it? Well, here's a run-down of the specifications:

  • It has a 4-inch multi-touch screen (~233 ppi pixel density)
  • 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and geo-tagging
  • 4 GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot (able to expand capacity up to 32 GB)
  • Runs Android OS v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
  • 1 GHz processor
  • 512 MB of RAM

For a "budget" phone, it's got a lot going for it! Let us know what you think in the comments below.

This quirky little camera has a 5 Megapixel sensor and is able to capture 1080p HD video at (up to) 60 fps. It measures at only 20 x 25 x 10mm and comes with a 15mm cable which connects directly to the Raspberry Pi. The camera module costs only £17 ($25) and will be available in about a month (there is currently no set date for release.)

For more, check out the Raspberry Pi website.
Along with the camera, Raspberry Pi also recently announced the release of "Model A" - a cheaper version of the original "Model B" board. It's priced at £17 (excluding tax/shipping charges) and is smaller and lighter than the original as it has only 1 USB port, no Ethernet and less RAM. (Due to this, it also consumes less power.)

Could this be BlackBerry's answer to the iPhone? We think so! The Z10 has an 8 MP rear-facing camera and a 4.2" touch display with a pixel density of 326 ppi - making it better than the iPhone's "retina display". It supports voice control similar to Apple's Siri and on top of everything, it's 4G ready. It also comes with BlackBerry 10 - the newest and most powerful BlackBerry OS yet.

For the full list of specifications and for more pictures, check out the BlackBerry website.

It seems convertible laptops have become a new trend on the market. They are essentially a tablet and laptop in one - making them more powerful that your average tablet and thinner and more portable than a laptop.

The problem with quite a lot of tablets on the market is that they lack quite a few features - take the iPad, for example - the OS is pretty limited and you have to rely on apps to do everything. It also doesn't have any memory card slots or USB ports. That's where the convertible laptops come in - most run Windows 8 (and you can change the OS) and the basic features are quite advanced. You have several ports for different functions along the sides as well as having all the multi-touch features of a regular tablet device.

All in all, we can see the appeal of these devices and we're guessing they'll be a huge hit in 2013. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
